Is This Your Concrete?
North Texas soils — expansive clay, sandy fill, and moisture cycles — are hard on concrete. If you’re seeing any of these, polyurethane lifting is likely the right fix.
🚗

Sunken driveway or apron

Slabs that have dropped at the street or garage entry — creating a bump, crack, or drainage issue.

🏠

Uneven sidewalks & walkways

Trip hazards along walkways, entries, or paths that pose liability risks and fail code.

🏊

Pool deck settling

Decking that has shifted, tilted, or cracked around the pool surround — common after soil erosion.

🏗️

Garage & warehouse floors

Interior slabs with soft spots, voids, or sections that flex underfoot — stabilized without demolition.

🅿️

Parking lots & loading docks

Commercial surfaces with settled panels, uneven joints, or dock leveling issues causing disruption.

🌿

Patio & porch slabs

Outdoor entertainment surfaces that have tilted away from the house or developed drainage slopes.

Three Steps. One Day.
Our polyurethane foam lifting process is precise, minimally invasive, and engineered to last — backed by Symmtrex’s building science expertise.
1

Assess & map the voids

We evaluate soil conditions, void locations, and the extent of settling before drilling a single hole. This step is critical — and it’s where most competitors skip ahead too fast.

2

Drill small injection ports

Strategic dime-sized holes (approx. ⅝”) are drilled through the slab at precise locations. Smaller than mudjacking ports, with far less visible repair after patching.

3

Inject high-density polyurethane foam

Two-part polyurethane foam is injected beneath the slab. It expands, fills voids, and lifts the concrete back to level — gently and with precision control.

4

Patch & return to service

Injection ports are patched with polymer concrete for a clean finish. Foam reaches ~90% compressive strength in 15 minutes — most slabs are walkable and driveable the same day.

Foam Lifting vs. Your Other Options
Three approaches exist. Here’s how they stack up for most homeowners and property managers in North Texas.

Mudjacking (slurry)

~ 24–72 hr cure time
Heavy slurry can re-settle
Large 1.5–2″ drill holes
Can erode over time
~ Lower upfront cost
Messy process

Full replacement

Days to weeks of downtime
~ New slab, fresh start
Major excavation required
~ Good if slab is destroyed
Highest cost option
Significant site disruption
Residential & Commercial Applications
🏡

Residential

Driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks, porch slabs, garage floors, and foundation approaches — any concrete surface around your home.

🏢

Commercial

Parking lots, loading docks, warehouse floors, retail entrances, and municipal sidewalks — completed with minimal business interruption.

🔧

Void filling & stabilization

Unseen voids beneath slabs are a collapse risk. We inject foam to fill and stabilize even when the surface hasn’t visibly settled yet.

💧

Drainage correction

Concrete that pitches toward the house or pools water can be re-leveled to restore proper drainage and protect your foundation.

Real Projects. Real Results.

“Symmtrex lifted our sunken patio in just three hours. The results are incredible, and the team was professional from start to finish. I had no idea how fast and clean this process was — couldn’t even tell where the holes were patched.”

— Jennifer M., Homeowner · Prosper, TX

“We saved over $40,000 by choosing foam lifting instead of replacing our parking lot. Symmtrex delivered exactly what they promised — same-day completion, zero business disruption, and the surface has held perfectly.”

— Robert T., Commercial Property Manager · McKinney, TX
What People Ask Before They Book
How long does the foam last? +
High-density polyurethane foam is rated to last the life of the concrete slab when properly installed. It’s waterproof, doesn’t erode, and won’t re-compress the way mudjacking slurry can. Longevity depends on drainage conditions and soil type — we’ll assess both at your free estimate.
Can I walk or drive on it the same day? +
Yes. Polyurethane foam reaches approximately 90% compressive strength within 15 minutes of injection. Most residential slabs are walkable immediately and driveable within an hour. We’ll confirm specifics based on your project scope.
How visible are the injection holes after patching? +
The holes are approximately ⅝” in diameter — much smaller than mudjacking ports. They’re patched with polymer concrete that blends into the surface. Over time, weathering makes them nearly invisible. We won’t pretend the concrete looks brand new, but most customers are pleasantly surprised.
What if my concrete is cracked — can it still be lifted? +
Hairline cracks and control joint cracks typically lift just fine. Severely broken, heaved, or root-damaged slabs may require partial replacement first. We’ll tell you honestly at the inspection — we won’t sell you foam lifting when replacement is the right call.
Why does concrete sink in North Texas? +
The expansive black clay soil common throughout the DFW area — including Collin and Fannin County — swells when wet and shrinks when dry. This constant movement erodes soil support under slabs, creating voids. Add drainage issues, tree root activity, or poor initial compaction and settling accelerates quickly.
